Senior Fire Protection Engineers
The Protection Engineering Group, Inc. has immediate openings for Senior Fire Protection Engineers with significant experience in supporting Federal Government, Institutional and/or Commercial clients.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- B.S. in Fire Protection Engineering, or related field, from an accredited engineering institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) Registration
- 5+ years of Direct Experience in the Evaluation/Design of Fire Protection Systems or Performing Building/Fire Code Consultation.
- Experience in Developing Contract Documents for Fire Alarm and Suppression Systems (Including Special Suppression Systems).
- Working Knowledge of National Building and Fire Codes and Standards
- Knowledge of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standards, including Life Safety Code Requirements for both New Construction and Modifications to Existing Buildings.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Excellent Communication and Client Management Skills

- AutoCAD Design Capability and Experience

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a fire protection engineer who enjoys working on a wide variety of projects and wants to develop their engineering skills under the guidance of seasoned industry professionals.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- B.S. in Fire Protection Engineering, or related field, from an accredited engineering institution.
- Engineering-in-Training (EIT) Certification
- 1-5 years of Direct Experience in the Evaluation/Design of Fire Protection Systems or Performing Building/Fire Code Consultation.
- Experience in Developing Contract Documents for Fire Alarm and Suppression Systems (Including Special Suppression Systems).

- Degree from an accredited higher education institution.
- Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Professional Engineer Registration a plus
- 5-10 years of Direct Experience in the Evaluation/Design of Information Technology Systems
- Experience in Developing Contract Documents for a Variety of Technology including Structured Cable, Data Center, Distribution Frames, Outside Plant
- Experience with Information Systems Security Consulting a plus
- Proven Project and Client Management Capability
