In support of a $33 million addition and renovation effort that will greatly expand the Emergency Department, Outpatient Procedures and provide for private in-patient rooms, The Protection Engineering Group is providing a variety of fire protection and life safety consulting services to the project architect. Services include resolving numerous construction issues involving the application of spray-applied fire resistive materials on structural members, developing fire resistive requirements for structural members and fire resistive assemblies, field evaluation to determine existing fire resistance ratings of structural members, and the development of code equivalencies and evaluations for submission to the Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
